Singapore Trip (IMS)
These are some of a few photos I shot while away on business in SG. Since sessions from the week-long IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) conference were whole day affairs, I was not able to take much photos. By the time we’re done, it would have been dark outside already, and the last thing I wanted to do was haul a tripod around. I’d rather get my hands on cold bottles of Belgian beer which my new friend Peter introduced me to. Good thing there is ample supply here in Makati thanks to Beers Paradise in Polaris Street. They may be a bit pricey for beer bought locally, but at least it’s not as expensive as those in SG.
Anyway, the whole conference was basically composed of marketing pitches of vendors to telcos. It did try to do it in the guise of “technical tracks” but at the end of the day, the beer made it all good, which made my reunion with several circles of old friends more fun.
This trip was one of my so-called missions when I joined Novare (initially as a consultant, and later on as Head of Platforms).
