College will always be a special period in my life and throughout, I’ve come to know a lot of friends, and lived rich experiences with them. Despite old and fungi-fested negatives of photographs which never made to the scanner age, if there’s one thing that helps me relive all those years, it would be the music of the Eraserheads.
So with both disbelief and wide-eyed elation, I made sure I was able to get tickets for their reunion concert last year. And while the concert itself was short-lived because of Ely’s medical emergency, the experience seemed enough to bring everything back to life. I became young again.
And just when we thought that that was all there was, we get news of another reunion, probably to set things right, to bring closure to an abrupt and blueballs-causing reunion. I told myself I can’t let this pass either. I’d need tickets! But thanks to Ian Magbanua of Pulse.PH, I got something better: an oh-so-preciously-scarce Press Pass! I was so happy with the news I got myself a new lens (a Nikkor 18-200mm VR), which, otherwise, I wouldn’t have a need for. Of course, MTV Pilipinas and Smart Communications are to thank, too. After all, they were the ones who brought the Eraserheads back.
And because I had to give Pulse.PH and Smart Communications media exclusivity for my photos for a few weeks, it’s now with great pride that I post them concert photos in public for everyone to see. While I keep saying that these photos will never give any music justice, I shot anyway.
To the guy who stole my LX3 that night, I hope you make good use of it. And can you at least send me the videos that I shot with it? Trak yon! Amen!

I was hoping the color of light would change dramatically but it didnt. However, subtle movement (cars, clouds) can be noticed if you look closely. :)
I’ve had my camera, a D300, for years now and it has this feature to shoot photos at pre-defined intervals. I’m practically hitting myself in the head for not trying this early on, but it’s never too late to give it a shot. So here’s my initial attempt at Time Lapse Photography. Camera was mounted on [...]
With all the resources out there, this should quickly get you into film processing quickly. This is meant as a beginner’s How-To in developing/processing your Black and White film without the need of a darkroom. But, it should, by no means be considered as a one-top-shop for the topic. If you want to advance further or get more technical, tons of resources are available out there for googling.

In this day and age of digital cameras and warp-speed workflows, why would anyone want to go film? That’s a question that has been asked of me these past few weeks. I don’t know, maybe because after a stressful year at work and the associated warp-speed timelines, I really DO want to SLOW down and [...]
Regardless of the interests that you have, it’s most likely that you have already accumulated huge amounts of data across the years. However you put it, these data is a big part of your life already. From your college papers, your business presentations, to your accounting and tax sheets, from your technical whitepapers to personnel [...]
For anyone who uses, at the least, two computers (e.g. a home PC and an office laptop), maintaining a common set of bookmarks can be very tedious. When a change is made on one computer, I used to export bookmarks from it and import into the other, and vice-versa, in an almost vicious cycle. It [...]
Have you ever found yourself trying to work on something for hours and still ended up with nothing at all? Sometimes, the best way to actually get work done is to just walk away from it and have a change of scenery. Let’s admit it, there will always be times when you’d want to just [...]
Several months ago, after years of whining, I finally consulted a doctor and was finally diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis on my left foot. For those who don’t know, Plantar Fasciitis is a very painful condition of the heel which is aggravated by extensive standing, walking, running, and weight-bearing (including my own) activities. It has been [...]
