Grams Diner Photos

Spilled Coffee Beans

Spilled Coffee Beans

Just recently I was commissioned to shoot a diner’s menu. So shoot I did.

Last friday (may 20), the new menu has been released. But aside from the menu itself, some of my photos (around 15 big big big photos) are viewable on the walls of the diner. So practically speaking, it’s an exhibit of some sort. My first exhibit? Hehehe.

Anyway, I’d like to invite you to check out the photos and the yummilicious food, of course. They’re all in Grams Diner in Rockwell (the block where the Tent, the Loft, Starbucks, Good Earth, and Santis are).

Grams is open 7am-12mn on weekdays, and 7am-2am on weekends. Pag pupunta kayo, text nyo ko, baka nasa area din ako so kitakits! Thanks go to Erik Lacson, Ricky Gomez (and his cheerful crew), Vynnie Cruz, and Jo Avila! Salamas!

Update as of Jan 2007: Grams Diner and the rest of the restos in the old block has now moved to the adjacent Block 9 near the Ateneo. Everything’s there, well, except for Brothers, and some others I forgot. Only a handful of my photos remain but the whole place is much much better! It’s very airy with the floor-to-ceiling windows and it has more seating capacity, too! Tsibugan na!

  • grams has transferred to the other block, changed menus, changed furniture, etc. but they still have your photos. ;)
  • I love the spilled coffee beans photo. Hmmm I attended a meeting at Grams but I'm not sure which month this year... sayang I could have read this sooner and comment to my companions on that day that "Hey, the photographer's name is Marco Cabazal!" Great artistic job! Very impressive.

You got a very cool/clean/pretty Website too.

Clouds Over The Makati City Hall (Time Lapse)

I was hoping the color of light would change dramatically but it didnt. However, subtle movement (cars, clouds) can be noticed if you look closely. :)

A Time Lapse Experiment

I’ve had my camera, a D300, for years now and it has this feature to shoot photos at pre-defined intervals. I’m practically hitting myself in the head for not trying this early on, but it’s never too late to give it a shot. So here’s my initial attempt at Time Lapse Photography. Camera was mounted on [...]

Black & White Film Processing At Home

With all the resources out there, this should quickly get you into film processing quickly. This is meant as a beginner’s How-To in developing/processing your Black and White film without the need of a darkroom. But, it should, by no means be considered as a one-top-shop for the topic. If you want to advance further or get more technical, tons of resources are available out there for googling.

Slowing Down and Reuniting with Film

One Way

In this day and age of digital cameras and warp-speed workflows, why would anyone want to go film? That’s a question that has been asked of me these past few weeks. I don’t know, maybe because after a stressful year at work and the associated warp-speed timelines,  I really DO want to SLOW down and [...]

Top Reasons Why You Might Want To Get That Backup Harddisk Already

Regardless of the interests that you have, it’s most likely that you have already accumulated huge amounts of data across the years. However you put it, these data is a big part of your life already. From your college papers, your business presentations, to your accounting and tax sheets, from your technical whitepapers to personnel [...]

Deliciously del.icio.us!

For anyone who uses, at the least, two computers (e.g. a home PC and an office laptop), maintaining a common set of bookmarks can be very tedious. When a change is made on one computer, I used to export bookmarks from it and import into the other, and vice-versa, in an almost vicious cycle. It [...]

Cafes Are Not Just About Exhorbitantly Priced Coffee

Have you ever found yourself trying to work on something for hours and still ended up with nothing at all? Sometimes, the best way to actually get work done is to just walk away from it and have a change of scenery. Let’s admit it, there will always be times when you’d want to just [...]

Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain) and How Cycling Helped Ease It

Several months ago, after years of whining, I finally consulted a doctor and was finally diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis on my left foot. For those who don’t know, Plantar Fasciitis is a very painful condition of the heel which is aggravated by extensive standing, walking, running, and weight-bearing (including my own) activities. It has been [...]
